Description
This is the original complete appraisal methodology course for personal property appraising. Its thorough scope includes appraisal objectives, intended uses, market identification and analysis, research methods and skills, ethics and professional conduct, and a detailed presentation of report formats and checklists. This course sets the standards that others imitate. The encyclopedic manual includes appraisal theory, identification techniques, report writing, ethics, and legal issues applicable to appraisers. Students learn to apply their new skills and knowledge in writing complete appraisal reports that are both ISA and USPAP compliant.
ISA is now offering the Core Course in Appraisal Studies, Live Online. The Core Course is 6 days (March 3-8, 2025), from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m CT, Monday-Friday, with the exam given on Saturday, the 8th. Students need to be present online throughout the entire course in order to receive credit. The exam will be given remotely on Saturday, administered through ProctorU.
The Core Course Manual and 2024 USPAP Manual and 2024 USPAP Guide and Reference are required for this course. Either the digital or hard copy versions of the manuals are accepted. Students are asked to read the first six chapters of the Core Course Manual prior to arrival and will be expected to read the next day’s chapters in the evenings.
