About

 

Shelley Corder Matthews is an art historian, advisor, and ISA CAPP, Certified Appraiser of Personal Property. She advises clients on a range of art collecting and object needs, and has co-developed a secure online database system for cataloguing and managing works of art. Matthews also enjoys working as an adjunct professor of Art History at Texas Christian University and speaking to special groups on a variety of art and historical topics. Before establishing the company, she worked at the Kimbell Art Museum and as the curator of a private collection in Dallas, where she also assisted in the research and publication of Rescuing Da Vinci, a book about the fate of art in the Third Reich and Second World War (www.rescuingdavinci.com).  Matthews is a summa cum laude graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Art History and Bachelor's degrees in both Art History and English. She lives in Fort Worth with her husband and two sons.
