Fee Schedule:
The Fees
for appraisals are determined by the number of hours involved plus any necessary travel expenses, and are negotiated based upon the individual needs of each client.
 
Art Apothecary Appraisals, LLC provides comprehensive personal property valuation services to clients in all private and public sectors, and has experience managing both
simple and complex assignments. 
  • Every appraisal report prepared by Elaina results in the delivery of a professional document with value conclusions that are in conformity with the Internal Revenue Service (where applicable),  the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice” (USPAP), and the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). 
Elaina is a Painter, Archivist, Art Historian, and Appraiser. 

With over 20 years in the Arts and Higher Education, Elaina is known for academic painting and an unorthodox teaching style; specializing in Black and Grey Portraiture in Watercolor, Ink, Wood Panel, Tattoo Art, Renaissance Art, and Horror Art.

Elaina studied vocational Art and Studio Management at the Long Island High School for the Arts, New York — graduating with a C.T.E. and Regents Honors Diploma — prior to attending the School of Visual Arts, Parsons School of Design, & N.C.C. Art as a student & faculty member.

After a 2015 car accident, she returned to an academia at the University of New Orleans, graduating Magna Cum Laude - University Honors, and serving as the Art Department Teaching Assistant on a COVID restricted campus.

They served their Archivist apprenticeship in Prints, Photographs, and Ephemera under former Metropolitan Museum Librarian Claudia Cage, with an extensive background in Art History, Historical Collections, and Independent Research.

A Project Manager and Creative Assistant, Elaina had a career shift into Social Media Management at Network Design & Communications on the Bowery of lower Manhattan, New York in 2009.

In New York, Elaina worked as an Artist Assistant, & Gallery Assistant, for Contemporary Painters such as Leonard Meiselman, Tim Kent and Installation Artist Carmen Einfinger. She spent her weekends at groundbreaking creative spaces such as the former Factory Fresh Gallery, in Brooklyn, NY. 

Elaina began her career in Tattooing and as a Body Arts Professional in the historic Lower East Side of Manhattan on St. Marks Place in 2006. She was the Studio Manager & Piercer for Addiction INK & Addiction NYC while attending the School of Visual Arts. 

Elaina also worked as a Tattoo Assistant for Eddy Ospina and Kevin Q at Fat Cat NYC in Astoria Queens, having spent a total of 10,000 working hours in NYC shops & private studios.

In New Orleans, Elaina was the portrait assistant for the well renowned artist Shakor of Gallery Cayenne in the historic French Quarter.

With a degree in Renaissance Art & Art History, and an extensive background as a Studio Manager, Photographer, Model, Creative, and Social Media Manager — Elaina uses her unique skill set to keep her projects running smoothly.
