Tania Poggione is an esteemed independent art consultant and appraiser specializing in Canadian and international art from the 20th and 21st centuries. With two decades of experience at the forefront of the Canadian art market, she offers unparalleled expertise in art appraisal, advisory, brokering, and collection management for private, corporate, and institutional clients.

As an appraiser and member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) since 2018, she complies to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), thereby ensuring services that meet the highest industry standards in an independent, impartial, and objective manner.

From 2005 to 2024, Tania spearheaded Heffel’s Montreal branch as Director and Senior Fine Art Specialist. She played a pivotal role in national business development, contributing to the establishment of the company as Canada’s premier auction house and driving its success in the global market. Renowned for her exceptional client service and trusted expertise, Tania managed the consignment and sale of high-value artworks valued in the millions.

In 2024, she was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Foundation, where she is dedicated to supporting the institution’s cultural and social mission.

Tania holds a Bachelor’s degree in Greco-Roman Studies (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Concordia University in Montreal.

Based in Montreal and Ottawa, Tania has developed an extensive network of influential contacts across Canada and internationally. She is fully trilingual (French, English, and Italian).
