About

I am a professional Personal Property Appraiser and Estate Liquidator.  I own ACE Appraisals, Consultations, & Estate Services, Inc. as well as Collette's Collectibles & Antiques.  I started my business in Dallas, Texas serving the DFW area and have recently moved back to my hometown of Fredericksburg, TX.   I now service the Texas Hill Country area including Fredericksburg, Austin, San Antonio, Kerrville, Mason, Brady, Marble Falls, Comfort, Johnson City, and Burnet just to name a few.

I have 25+ years of experience in buying and selling of antiques and estate liquidations and I have 16+ years in the field of Personal Property Appraisals.

Experience:

I began my career as an Antique Dealer in 1998.  My Father, who was an avid oil & gas collector, shared his joy of the hunt and led me to this fabulous career.  Over the years I have been a Picker, Antique Dealer, Estate Liquidator and Personal Property Appraiser.

I specialize in Household Content and most items in and around your house, business, barn, shed or any structure.  I have experience in Oil & Gas, tools, Silver, Costume Jewelry, furniture, decorative arts, kitchenware, clothing and so much more.  I have done appraisals and liquidations for ranches and horse ranches in the Denton, TX area.  Of course I don't know everything, but I can find the person who can assist me in appraising your items to get the job done

Credentials/Education

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Math & Computer Science, 1984, from the University of Texas at Dallas. I worked at Texas Instruments for 7 years starting as a Personal Assistant and moving on to Computer Programming.  I finally figured out that I dislike sitting behind a desk and so enjoy being out and meeting people.  I took the following courses, as well as others, to keep my Appraisal Credential and am in good standing with International Society of Appraisers

  • International Society of Appraisers Core Course in Appraisal Studies, July 2006.
  • International Society of Appraisers Advanced Residential Content, May 2009.
  • Successfully completed a 15-hour course and examination on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), the Congressionally-recognized set of appraisal standards promulgated by The Appraisal Foundation.
  • Completed USPAP update courses, May 2024

Appraisal Services

I will be happy to help you appraise your items for Replacement Value/Insurance, Damage Claims, Estate Taxes, Donations, Division of Property due to divorce or death, Estate Planning or if you just want to know.

I provide written and oral appraisals following ISA's professional and ethical appraisal practices and I  also comply with USPAP (Uniform Standards or Professional Appraisal Practices). As a note I usually provide Oral Appraisals for Division of Property clients who are picking items out of an estate to make it an equitable division of property.    I have found it better to have an unbiased, neutral Appraiser value items for families/entities for division of property.
