Emily Waldorf is an independent art appraiser and advisor based in Silicon Valley, specializing in postwar and contemporary painting, works on paper, photography, and prints. She is a Member of the International Society of Appraisers and provides USPAP-compliant appraisals for insurance, charitable contributions, and estate tax. Her practice is grounded in rigorous research and art-historical expertise, ensuring thorough and reliable valuations.

Her professional background includes work at Bonhams San Francisco, as a graduate student researcher in Sotheby’s Impressionist and Modern Art departments in both London and Paris, and at Gagosian Beverly Hills. She has also worked as an art consultant in Los Angeles, curating educational visits to galleries, studios, and museums.

Emily holds an MA in Fine and Decorative Art and Design with distinction from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, an MA in French specializing in Impressionist and Modern art from Middlebury College.  She also holds a BA in Art History and French Studies from Scripps College. Emily is active in the Bay Area arts community, supporting institutions such as SFMOMA and the Cantor Arts Center.
