Jessica Chase
About
After completing a degree in History and Classics at Trent University, I decided to pursue a career where I could share my passion for history and heritage with others. A postgraduate program in Culture and Heritage Site Management led to roles with the City of Toronto, a private museum in St. Catharine's, and a 2-year stint with the Royal Collection Trust in London, England, which catalyzed my interest in fine art.
Since 2016, I have been working for The County Museums in Prince Edward County, Ontario, first as a system-wide Assistant Curator, and beginning in 2021 as the Curator for four of our five sites. Our system's collection ranges from Middle Woodland archaeological pieces to contemporary works of art, though the majority of the artifacts we care for and interpret date to the 19th and early 20th centuries.
I am a new member of the International Society of Appraisers, but am excited to put my knowledge of European and North American antiques and fine art to good use, as well as my keen research and deduction skills.
