About

Katy Jensen is a personal property appraiser specializing in Fine and Decorative Art, both Western and Non-Western, as well as some spheres of collectibles and memorabilia including Maps, Books, Film Memorabilia, Political Memorabilia, Advertising, and Photographs. She is the founder/owner of Gilded Edge Appraisals, www.gilded-edge.com.

She holds Bachelor's degrees in Art History and Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master's degree in Museum Education from the George Washington University. Beyond college she has pursued her ongoing education in a variety of fields including art and objects from Japan, Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and Oceania. 

Katy previously worked as the Art Curator for the auction house Everything But the House (ebth.com) and worked on the field team that produced two seasons of the HGTV television show, Everything But the House. While at EBTH, she personally examined over 50,000 works of art, antiques, and collectibles.  Prior to that she worked at a number of museums including Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, and Cincinnati Art Museum, to name a few. 

While currently working mainly in the Cincinnati, Ohio and Madison, Wisconsin areas, she travels frequently and would consider projects in other locations.
