About
Tamara Perlman is a generalist appraiser with specialization in Brazilian fine art.
Tamara is the founder and owner of Tamara Perlman Art Appraisal and Art Market Advisory Services in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and has extensive knowledge of the Brazilian art market and the art business industry in general, through continuing studies and esearch.
Tamara advises clients in the arts, cultural and creative communities, including museums and cultural organizations, art businesses, collectors, investors, artists and cultural organizations on matters relating to the valuation, pricing, purchase and sale of art.
Tamara was a co-founder and co-CEO of Parte Contemporary Art Fair from 2011 until 2019, the first art fair in Brazil with a focus on local emerging artists. She is a researcher with the Arts Economics centre of FGV Invest, in São Paulo, and holds a Bachelor degree in Law from University of Sao Paulo and a Masters degree (LL.M.) in the same field from Columbia University Law School.
She is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish and has completed ISA's Core Course in Appraisal Methodology and is up to date on USPAP requirement and is a Member of the International Society of Appraisers.
