ISA-Certified Appraiser of Personal Property Membership Status (CAPP) Successfully completed a comprehensive and thorough program and exam on the Principles and Procedures of Appraising to the satisfaction of the designated committees of the Society. (2007) 

ISA-Requalification Course: An update on appraising and report writing. Emphasis placed on new regulations and standards, report writing skills, research resources, and methodology. (2022, 2017, 2012, 2005)

ISA-Appraisal of Antiques, Furnishings + Decorative Arts Course: How to properly identify and value items, analyze methods of construction and manufacturing, and identify quality, age, and design characteristics of periods and styles. (2000)

ISA-Core Course in Appraisal Studies: An appraisal methodology course for personal property appraising including appraisal objectives, intended uses, market identification and analysis, research methods and skills, ethics and professional conduct, and a detailed presentation of report formats and checklists. Twenty-three lectures from an unparalleled roster of speakers of curators, academics, conservators, artists, and craftspeople drawn from museums and private practice in America and abroad including marqueters  Silas Kopf and Yannick Chastang.

Celebrating Chippendale's Tercentenary, study trip abroad with the Decorative Arts Trust (2018)

Annual Tuscaloosa Antique Symposium, Tuscaloosa, AL; organized and implemented by myself featuring renowned scholars and recognized experts in the fields of the fine and decorative arts. Speakers from Winterthur, Colonial Williamsburg,Historic Deerfield,The White House,The Metropolitan Museum,The Philadelphia Museum of Art,The Museum of Fine Arts Boston,The High Museum,The Carnegie Museum of Art,The Corning Museum of Glass,The New Bedford Museum of Glass,The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Program Smithsonian Institution,Sothebys, Northeast Auctions,Brunk Auctions,Neal Auction,along with independentscholars, historians,and authors participated.  Attendees traveled great distances and regularly came from as many as 26 different states per year. (2009, 2003-2007)
