Aarin Richard is an appraiser, consultant, broker and collector of American Indian art and antiquities in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has been immersed in the field for the past 28 years. His company, Richard & Associates Art Appraisals offers appraisal services for the purposes of charitable contributions, estate planning or division, capital gains and gift tax, insurance coverage, damage claims and equitable distributions.  All appraisals comply with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and meet IRS qualification requirements.

In 1991, Aarin resumed his journey as an avid collector, attending shows and auctions, working with formidable experts, conducting personal research and collecting and trading American Indian antiquities. In 2002, he launched Aarin Richard Tribal Art, exhibiting at the major trade shows in the west and southwest. He wrote articles such as Natural Pigments Of The Plains Indians and The Reds Of Early Navajo Textiles and worked actively within the dealer network, buying, selling, trading and brokering.

In 2009, upon moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico, Aarin was invited into a long established gallery, The Spanish & Indian Trading Company, as a forth partner, joining three other prominent dealers in the industry. Working daily with experts in the field proved to be invaluable. This eventually led to the creation of the Aarin Richard Gallery, which featured 19th century Native American art and contemporary paintings. Exhibiting at prominent shows also continued.

In 2011, he created the Historic American Indian Art Radio Show, which featured in-studio guests with fellow dealers and scholars, discussing the Native art and history of 19th century America. The show was broadcast live over the internet.

Through all these activities, Aarin has developed an extensive network of associates with expertise in the field, available to assist on assignments when needed.

In 2014, Aarin was recruited to be an adjunct professor at the Santa Fe University of Art & Design, teaching for both the music and film production departments. Prior to relocating in Santa Fe, he lived in Los Angeles, California and worked as a Media Designer for Walt Disney Imagineering and Sony Development, leading media production efforts for projects worldwide.
