About

Kait Marley is an experienced appraiser and advisor well-versed in both the primary and secondary markets. Kait specializes in modern, post-war, contemporary, and ultra-contemporary art, with an in-depth understanding of the primary and secondary markets and the characteristics that affect value.

Kait earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in art history from Davidson College and Temple University, respectively. She is an active and accredited member of the American Association of Appraisers and the International Society of Appraisers. She is fully compliant with the Uniform Standards of the Professional Appraisal Practice. Kait is the Managing Director of Arcadia Art Consultancy, an advisory and appraisal firm based in Charlotte, NC. She also serves as an appraiser for The Fine Art Group. 

In her spare time, Kait serves as Chair for Potters Market at the Mint, a contemporary ceramic fair at the Mint Museum. She also serves on both the American and Contemporary Art Collecting Committees for the Mint Museum. Kait was the inaugural Chair for the "Coined in the South," a juried art biennial at the Mint Museum - producing the first two iterations. 

Kait assists clients across the United States, emphasizing the southeastern states.
