About
Barbara Beames is an established fine arts professional with extensive experience as Art Consultant, Gallery Owner/Dealer, Art Broker and Fine Art Appraiser.
Barbara holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) with two years of coursework at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and university study in Europe.
Fine art appraisals are provided by Barbara for insurance coverage; damage and loss claims; divorce settlements; equitable distribution; charitable contribution. All appraisals are done in full compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)*, the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). *USPAP of The Appraisal Foundation, authorized by Congress as the source of appraisal standards and appraiser qualifications.
Appraisal requests are welcomed for an individual item or for a collection.
