Description

Mike Widmaier, owner of Chicago Wine Consulting, provides a roadmap to the world of appraising wine. With more than 20 years of experience in private wine cellar management, he will present a deep dive into:

  • How to set up your appraisal spreadsheet: organizing collections meticulously for clear valuation.
  • Things to look out for.
  • Identifying different markets for Fair Market Value versus Replacement Cost.
  • Discovering hidden gems: identifying specific wines in your clients’ collections.

When you're working with seasoned collectors, you’ll be able to help your client to make informed decisions about buying, selling, and insuring their treasured wines. Put Mike’s practical and targeted knowledge to work in your own appraisal business!
