Alison has over fifteen years of experience as a personal curator and appraiser for private clients, interior designers, art consultants, corporations and public institutions. Her specialized knowledge of works on paper garnered invitations to write for trade journals such as Antiques and Fine Art and Journal of the Print World, as well as scholarly books such as her two essays in Katherine Manthorne’s Traveler Artists to Latin America, from the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros. Further, she has been an invited curator for original exhibits at the Museum of Arts and Sciences Macon, GA, the Botanical Research Institute of Texas, Fort Worth, TX, and the Women’s Museum, Dallas, TX.

Art historical research was the genesis of Alison’s entry to the art world. She earned an undergraduate degree in art history from Providence College, a master’s degree in art history from Hunter College, City University of New York, as well as additional certificates from the University of London and New York University. She is an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America and a Member of the International Society of Appraisers.
