Maria Gianino is the owner of Legacy Appraisals in St. Louis, Missouri. She has owned an antique, estate jewelry and decorative arts retail store  as well as an art gallery in St. Louis. She has been a professional estate jewelry show exhibitor in  Chicago, Miami and New York.

Maria is also a professional Business Broker, representing buyers and sellers of Main Street businesses through out the Midwest. 

Maria has a BA from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Business. GIA  (Gemological Institute of America) Specialists Certificates in Diamonds, Colored Stones, Pearls and Accredited Jewelry Professional. She has completed coursework in the Apprasial Studies in  the Fine and  Decorative Arts Program at New York University. Completed the  ISA Core Course in Apprasial Studies in Toronto, Canada, and the Antiques and Residential Course in Chicago, Illinois. Appraisers Association of America (AAA) Uniform Standards of Professional Practice USPAP 2018-2019. Jewelry Camp New York 2014, 2016, 2019. She regularly attends ISA, AAA  and NAJA conferences and workshops.  Maria is also a full member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers and the Certified Appraisers Guild of America. Maria also holds a Missouri Real Estate Brokers License. Maria is a community volunteer and has held Board of Directors positions of various nonprofit organizations in St. Louis. She is a adjunct instructor at St. Louis Community College and is a popular speaker on Jewelry History, Collecting and Downsizing. Maria is also a consultant and Fine Jewelry Specialist with Link Auction Gallery in St. Louis, Missouri.
