Sole proprietor of Victor Appraisal Services, Redmond Washington, conducting appraisals and related services since 1997. Sole proprietor of successful antique business participating in the retail and wholesale of antiques and collectibles since 1979; Blue Goose Antiques, specializing in complete variety of antiques and collectibles. Professional antique show exhibitor in Washington and California 1985-2005 specializing in full spectrum of antiques and collectibles. Promoter of two antique shows annually, 1998 - 2002. Avid collector of antiques since 1968. Specializing in a variety of nineteenth and twentieth century antiques, period jewelry, and collectibles. Conducted numerous estate and liquidation sales in Washington and California; beginning in California since 1978. Procure antiques and collectibles for resale at auction, private party, tag sales, and retail antique store outlets since 1978. Specialty Education: International Society of Appraisers courses in code of ethics, professional standards of appraisal principals, procedures, reporting, and advanced appraisal theory and methodology. Schooled and successfully tested in appraising, including the specialty areas of Expert Witness, Fine Art, Period and Costume Jewelry, as well as Antiques & Residential Contents (to include furniture and decorative elements). Successfully met all criteria required by the International Society of Appraisers to earn the designation of Certified Appraiser of Personal Property. All related education accredited through the University of Maryland. Related and Contributing Qualifications: Instructor on assigning values and collecting of antiques at Bellevue Community College, Lake Washington Technical College, and other adult education programs 2000-2006. Professional keynote speaker to private and public organizations and clubs. Conduct workshops for sales personnel of Childrens Hospital Thrift Stores in the Greater Puget Sound area. Mentor to budding antique entrepreneurs and authors of antiques and collector value guides. Occasional guest speaker on local talk radio programs. Treasurer of Northwest Chapter of the International Society of Appraisers for six years, Secretary of the Lewis & Clark Chapter for six years, and currently serving as President to that Chapter.  Coordinator and participant of professional appraiser Roadshow-type events for public and private benefits, 2001-Present.
