I began working weekends with an estate sale company in January of 2012.  I had a good friend who owned the business and she needed help, so there it began.  I loved it, I enjoyed researching items and I loved working with people at the sales, little did I know it would become my second career.  In July 2014, I retired from a CEO position in a large organization that I had served for 30 years and began my education to become an appraiser.  I have completed all of the core courses, which were excellent, and the USPAP certification. My hands on, real world education continues.

I am a native New Mexican, reared in Santa Fe; I currently reside in Albuquerque, NM and Chandler, Arizona. I have a B.A. in Sociology and a M.A. in Public Administration.  I have also completed a three year National Leadership Program from the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, D.C.   In 2010, I received the highest award the United States Federal Court bestows  " The Directors Award for Outstanding Leadership" from the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.  It was an incredible honor, especially knowing the high caliber of staff working for the court.

I approach every appraisal assignment with an excitement to learn and to be as professional and helpful as possible.  I come from a service background so I am very cognizant of my clients needs and my goal is always to accomplish the task to the best of my ability in a professional and expedient manner.

My expertise in my specialty areas come from working with Native Americans in the Southwest for over 30 years in their pueblos and reservations.  I have a deep understanding of not only their craft but also their culture.  Having been reared in Santa Fe, knowing all the history of my state, I am also very aware of the influences in art and style from both Mexico and Spain. As a quick note, my Spanish ancestors have been traced back to the Santa Fe, New Spain/ New Mexico territory into the 1640's.  I love history; respect culture and will always strive to do the best job possible.
