Identifying Heroes in Asian Art
|Date||Tuesday, November 19, 2019|
|Time||02:00 PM - 03:00 PM|
Heroes and villains are popular character types in world art. Visualizations of each category clearly differentiate the one from the other, using body language and types, societal class standards and well-known narratives to develop the contrasts. Asian art includes many examples of visually identifiable heroes drawn from classical and popular literature and quasi-historical events. This webinar illustrates how to identify certain particularly notable heroes or set of heroes in Chinese and Japanese art, and how to value some of the outstanding examples of this theme.
This webinar will take place from 2:00-3:00pm CST on Tuesday, November 19th, 2019.
