Welcome to the International Society of Appraisers Public Forum
The Public Forum has been created to facilitate communications between the public and ISA appraisers. In addition to the Search Database on the ISA website this forum may be used to locate an appraiser to assist you. The directions on the left side of the screen should be helpful in assisting you navigate on this forum. All other forums listed can only be accessed by ISA members.
Before you access the forum it is important that you understand the limitations of what a qualified appraiser can do online. An appraisal is a carefully researched document that contains value conclusions that have been reached after the appraiser has personally examined and identified the object or objects. Obviously this cannot be done online. Once you contact an ISA appraiser either through the Search Database or the Public Forum it will be clear what can or cannot be done to assist you in your buying and selling decisions.
Before you buy or sell we strongly urge you to make arrangements for our appraisers to examine the objects. Under these conditions our qualified appraisers can provide value conclusions and may, if qualified, provide authentication services. Available on our website is a booklet entitled "The ISA Appraisal Report Writing Standard", which lists everything that should be included in a complete appraisal.
Please feel free to post any questions on the Public Forum and let us know how we might be of assistance. ISA appraisers make their living by providing their professional services for a fee. Please, therefore, don't ask ISA appraisers to provide free value conclusions or authentications.
