About

Deric has a very strong background in American furniture and Decorative Arts circa 1870-1950, with an emphasis on California.  His education and mentorship have focused on California related Furniture, Decoratives, and Fine Art including Early California from 1870 through the Bay Area Figurative movement.

With nearly twenty five years in the field representing high level private collectors and institutions, Deric has a keen sense of market trends and current market values.

Since 2009, Deric has been a specialist at Clars Auction Gallery in Oakland, CA, the West Coast's largest full service auction gallery.  In addition to being a part of the very strong Furniture and Decorative Art department, Deric is also an auctioneer at the gallery, in addition to being a certified appraiser.  His work is truly his love and his passion.
