About

Katherine Rogers is the owner of Appraisals Etcetera in Nashville, Tennessee specializing in the appraisal of antiques and decorative arts.  She holds a Master of Arts degree in the History of Decorative Arts and Design from Parsons School of Design in conjunction with the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, where her coursework included hands on access to the museums collections and archives.  With teachers from such renowned institutions as the Museum of Modern Art, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Corning Museum of Glass, and the New York Historical Society, she developed a solid foundation and appreciation for the decorative arts.

Prior to joining the International Society of Appraisers in 2014, Katherine worked at an auction house as Assistant Gallery Manager where she catalogued incoming property, performed historical and market research, and evaluated new inventory.  She also has experience working for an award-winning interior design firm that specialized in 5-star international hospitality where she prepared Furniture, Fixture, and Equipment (FF&E) schedules in a documentation package for procurement.  She also brings experience and training as a paralegal, which in combination with her decorative arts background has proven valuable for writing thorough and accurate appraisals.

Katherine continues her education by attending local and national symposia and looks forward to assisting you with your appraisal needs.
