About
Meredith Ann Whipple was born in New York City, attended The Wooster School where she graduated cum laude and went on to gain a BA in 1978 from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. She worked at Sotheby's and William Doyle Galleries before moving to Honolulu, Hawaii to work as a curator, appraiser and buyer with a private collector. Branching out on her own she founded Meredith Ann Whipple Antique Appraisals in 2001 and became an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers in 2004. Moving back to New York she is continuing her appraisal practice in the Northeast. Appraisals in 18th and19th Century American and European furniture, decorative arts and fine arts: including porcelain, pottery, glass and silver, vintage & antique toys. Also, she is well versed in the appraisal of early Hawaiian artifacts such as kou calabashes and koa furniture.
