QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPRAISER                        

Maureen S. Winer, ISA, Vice-President of Parting with Possessions, Inc. has been a personal property appraiser since 1985. Ms. Winer is a generalist in her profession with valuation expertise in a wide range of areas including antiques and residential contents, decorative and fine arts, sculpture, paintings, ceramics, textiles, pottery, and silver.  Maureen’s expertise is also in valuation methodology, litigation support, and disposition and downsizing.

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Maureen has been formally trained by the International Society of Appraisers through core and advanced courses, seminars and conferences. Her knowledge base is supplemented through various local and national seminars and courses in related fields. She continues her education and advancement on a local and national level and is currently working towards her CAPP designation with ISA. Maureen has tested and passed the USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices) coursework.

Ms. Winer has a broad experience in the appraisal, auction, and legal fields. Her practical business, appraisal and legal training bring a unique combination of skills to her appraisal business. Maureen conducts appraisals for a variety of functions including obtaining insurance, IRS donation, Federal IRS estate reporting, determining present worth, determination of claims, equitable distribution, dissolution of marriage and others. Her clientel include professionals from local and national businesses, legal, accounting and financial services. She also works with numerous individuals and families on a national and local level who are going through often-times difficult changes in their lives and need her expertise in valuing their personal property, and her guidance through disposing of their assets.
